When Challenges Come, Community Matters
Whether it’s a natural disaster or a personal crisis, the strain on local resources can quickly become overwhelming. In these critical moments, Bridges of Love helps bridge the gap, moving at the speed of trust to connect people with the support, resources, and relationships they need.
Community resilience is about more than disaster preparedness and training. It is also about helping individuals and families find the strength, resources, and confidence to move forward through difficult times.
When communities are prepared, connected, and compassionate, people are better equipped not only to respond to a crisis—but to recover, rebuild, and find hope.
Prepare • Respond • Support
1. Prepare - Build knowledge, skills, and confidence before a crisis happens through Bridges of Love's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training.
2. Respond - Connect people, churches, and community resources when needs arise through Bridges of Love's Faith Emergency Preparedness Initiative (FEPI).
3. Support - Walk alongside individuals and families as they recover, rebuild, and move toward greater strength and self-sufficiency through Bridges of Love's Alberta Recovers and Crosswalk programs.
Together, these are the building blocks of a resilient communit. CERTs save lives and protect property.

Our mission is to empower the local church and community through preparedness, practical training, and compassionate support. Whether facing a large-scale disaster, a personal crisis, or unexpected hardship, no one should have to face it alone.

Bridges of Love brings people and resources together to help our communities become better prepared for whatever challenges may come. We equip individuals and organizations with practical tools and training while strengthening the connections that make it possible to respond when help is needed most.
Our focus extends from disaster preparedness and response to supporting individuals and families experiencing personal hardship. From seniors and single adults to families and community organizations, we believe everyone has a place in a strong and caring community.

OUR PROGRAMS
Bridges of Love has four main PROGRAMS that support communities:

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) – This program equips individuals with the training and knowledge to respond effectively to disasters, ensuring that communities can quickly mobilize in the face of disaster.

Faith Emergency Preparedness Initiative (FEPI) – Leveraging our extensive church network, FEPI ensures that faith communities are equipped with the resources, volunteers, and facilities needed for swift action during disasters. Churches serve as critical hubs for coordination and outreach when disaster strikes.

Alberta Recovers – This program connects donors with disaster-affected individuals, facilitating recovery efforts by providing targeted support to those in need.

Crosswalk - A natural disaster normally causes havoc to whole communities. What about those who are struggling through a family crisis or even individuals who have gone through a job loss. These are very real disasters for them! Crosswalk, a new Bridges of Love’s program is building a network of churches who have the desire and resources to assist during these devastating times. Bridges of Love provides an on-line platform where those who need a hand up can connect confidentially with a church who can assist.
